Ryan Hollins to Join the Boston Celtics

Ryan Hollins is expected to suit up for the Celtics as they travel to Philly tonight, reports the Boston Herald: “It’s not official, but he agreed and all the papers are being drawn up,’ said Doc Rivers of the free agent center waived this week by Cleveland. ‘Hopefully by the end of the day he’s a Celtic.’ As for [tonight], Rivers said, ‘He’ll dress; I don’t know if he’ll play or not,’ said Doc Rivers. ‘He has to go through physicals, so we have our fingers crossed the way physicals have gone with us. We’re going to do physicals in the morning, and if it fits we’re going to fly him out and have him meet us in Philly.’”

Great pick-up for Celtics, even better than J.J. Hickson which I was hoping for. Hollins gives them length they need.

No! You belong to the Knicks!

Better than nothing, but this didn’t open that all but closed window any more. Either way he’s cool with G and PDouble (LA area guys) so he should at least mesh well with the lockerroom…
