Knicks Sign Dan Gadzuric, Waive Bill Walker

Looking to bulk up their front line for the postseason, the Knicks have acquired big man Dan Gadzuric, and were forced to let go small forward Bill Walker to make space for their new center. The NY Post has the details: “Mike Woodson announced that the Knicks will sign 6-11 journeyman center Dan Gadzuric and waive swingman Bill Walker in a move to provide depth and insurance for the playoffs. Gadzuric, 34, an athletic big man out of UCLA, will be added in case Amar’e Stoudemire and Jared Jeffries break down in the playoffs. Prior to signing with the Knicks, Gadzuric played for the Texas Legends in the D-League and overseas in China. Gadzuric’s last NBA action came last season when he played for the Nets, appearing in 14 games. Gadzuric had played eight seasons for the Bucks after UCLA. ‘It gives us another big,’ Woodson said. ‘Just in case Jared is not able to come back from his rest. It gives us a veteran big that’s been around that could use fouls and rebound.’”

    Poor Uncle Billy…

I liked Bill Walker. Never heard of Dan Gadzurics a day in my life. Even though Bill hasn’t contributed in a hot minute, i’m not sure if this was a good move.

I only know about Dan Gadzuric because he is Dutch. Like me. Never really watched him play. Good luck dude.

Go Holland. It’s a good pick-up. Dan got some solid offense when needed. Never takes ill advised shots. Good defender. Better hands than Jeffries. Swear he’s 7 ft though. This is exactly the type of player they need.
    He’s basically Jeffries on horse-meat.

I actually really liked Billy Walker for them. But I get it – don’t want to go into Round 1 with no extra fouls in the front court… I still think they should have waited. They’re 2nd round fodder if all the stars align right.

Billy is a nice player, but only seems to play well in garbage time. He should sign with the Bobcats, he’d be an All-Star next year for sure. Almost every minute of the season is garbage time for the Cats.

Bad move, why not waive Jerome Jordan?? You never waive a possible starter, Woodson must not like him

I don’t like Walker, he thinks he is way better than he really is. No discernable elite nba skill

Possible starter? … Do you watch basketball? I doubt it.

    The Return of GadScreech!!!

Seriously, does Danny still look like the Saved by the Bell star?

Why is this news. They dropped on player that is not a contributor to add another player that can not contribute, and they still do not have a solid option at point guard. I feel a sweep coming on…
