LaMarcus Aldridge Had Sore Right Hip Evaluated By a Specialist

The latest injury concern in Portland is star forward LaMarcus Aldridge’s ailing right hip, which could result in his season coming to an early end. Per CSNNW: “LaMarcus Aldridge and Trail Blazers athletic trainer Jay Jensen are on their way to Vail, Colorado to see Dr. Marc Phillipon to get a further evaluation on his sore right hip that has been nagging him of late. Aldridge has been experiencing hip issues ever since late March and a precautionary MRI was taken back then and came back negative. Acting GM Chad Buchanan said they just want to get a second opinion. ‘It’s something that we’ve checked on before, but it’s always good to get a new set of eyes,’ Buchanan said. ‘We’ll see what comes of it.’ Buchanan also said it’s up to the doctors and Aldridge if shutting it down was necessary. ‘We’ll talk to LaMarcus and the doctors about that. Our first priority is the health of all of our players and not a couple of games,’ Buchanan said.”
