Rajon Rondo Officially Suspended One Game For Bumping Referee

As was expected, Rajon Rondo has been suspended one game without pay for bumping an official, the NBA announced today. Here’s the League’s release: “Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics has been suspended one game without pay for making contact with a game official, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations. The incident occurred with 0:41 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the Celtics’ 83-74 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on April 29. Rondo will serve his suspension tomorrow when the Celtics play the Hawks in Game 2 of their opening round series in Atlanta.”

Allen out is where they really hurt here. Bradley could have picked up the slack for one of them, but not both. Paul Pierce needs to pull his best Rajon Rondo impersonation again.

Can KG hop in the time machine and put up 25pts, 15rbds, 3blks? Pierce will need to do some time traveling too.

Tim Duncan accidentally pushes a ref outta the way that wasn’t paying attention, and he got 1 game.
Rondo intentionally confronts and bumps a ref, and he only gets 1 game?

MikeC… Pierce usually does a couple of time traveling a game,…minus the time..cause as you know they don t call (time) traveling in the NBA!

fans to david stern: let the best team win and dont let the referees decide the games (@heat vs knicks series) we fans aint that blind. corrupt bas***rd. would be nice if a younger commissioner could take over with less business instincts and more of sportsmanship morals

TD got ejected fir laughing and if i am not mistaken sheed got ejected for staring at a ref. i am not saying that one should be able to punch them but i get a feeling that refs are acting like primadonas and they in many cases want to make the game about them

however surely the powers that be would want Boston to go through compared to ATL. Boston surely has a higher market value in terms of merchandise and global brand awareness/value.

Boston is in big trouble if they don’t find a way to win this game, and Rondo’s stupidity lowers those chances greatly, he has to have composure in that situation, he has to realize that Boston is nothing without him, he can’t afford to get suspended, but yet he loses his cool and probably costs Boston game 2. I’ll be suprised if they even make it a close game tonight.
