Report: Gerald Wallace To Opt-Out, Test Free Agency


The Brooklyn Nets’ plans keep coming together… Crash has a player option worth $9.5 million with the Nets for next season, but he suggested that he plans to opt out. From the NY Daily News: “Gerald Wallace says he’ll test free agency. He has a one year player option worth 9.5 million with incentives.”

    The Nets traded multiple 1st rounders for DWill as well as 1st round talent they already drafted. They traded this years first for Gerald Wallace. If both these guys opt out, not only will they be terrible next year, but they will also have no future talent to look forward to.
