Timberwolves Shut Down Kevin Love for Remainder of the Season

Quite understandably, Kevin Love will sit out Minny’s final two games of the season. Per the Star Tribune: “Wolves forward Kevin Love’s season is now officially over. In a meeting with the Love, coaches and medical personnel, it was decided that Love, who sustained a concussion when hit by a JaVale McGee elbow in Denver April 11, will miss the team’s final two games this season. […] The Wolves said Love had cleared all the NBA-mandated hurdles to return, passing all the tests necessary to be cleared to play. But the decision was not to take any chances with Love, who is fourth in the league in scoring (26.0) and second in rebounding (13.3). ‘Everybody talked about it and the decision was made,’ head coach Rick Adelman said of Love. The biggest factor? Love has had so many days off, and there wasn’t enough practice time to be had to get him back in game shape. And besides, why take a chance of Love getting hurt again? ‘It’s been 10-11 days since he played,’ Adelman said.”
