Atlanta Hawks’ Jerry Stackhouse Picks the Miami Heat to Win NBA Title

The Atlanta Hawks may be in the postseason, and are (theoretically) one of the 16 NBA teams who could take home the championship trophy, but Jerry Stackhouse knows what’s up (and is honest about it.) Per CSNNE. via Jerry’s blog: “I am clearly planning for Atlanta to be in the Finals — if I put on my analyst hat, however, if we are looking at the personnel and everything that’s going on during these playoffs, I have to take Miami to win it all. Miami is the favorite to come out of the East, and I’m not counting out the Lakers in the West the way Ramon Sessions and Kobe Bryant are playing.”

U don’t say things like this when your team is still in the playoffs.

  • Dirtybird

Just say “we’ll have to see” and be quiet.

He should be waived immediately… Like right this second!

Don’t beat him up, Jerry’s a vet that’s just hedging his bets at the sports books…

I probably would have waited until they were eliminated before I said something like that…

Dude is still playing in the playoffs why would he say this. It doesn’t matter if it is right. You just don’t say it. His teammates might look at him differently.

Lmao. I was totally expecting this to be one of SLAMs misleading headlines, but he really said that. That’s like telling your wife “Yeah I am clearly committed to you, but if I was single, I’d totally be with your sister. I mean look at her, she’s got the better t1ts and azz…”

No one on ATL can possibly believe they are going to be in the finals. That’s like saying, there is a chance my di*k could grow to 12-inches in a week.

dfrance with the analogy, yeah that would get u waived

So, when Stack is out of the league next year I guess Miami is the only team that will give him a look.

Its funny because if atlanata beats boston in the 1st round they will most definitely face miami in the conf finals (stomping out philly in the 2nd rd)

Not a good look. Most people feel that way, but it’s pretty tasteless when your own team is still playing.

Why does his opinion even matter ?? Straight garage

Stackhouse knows what it takes with his zero-championship pedigree.

  • @Conner

the term championship pedigree should only be applied to superstars and other players who are actually big significant parts to their team. Even if Stack had 8 rings, I wouldn’t say he had championship pedigree. I would say he happened to get onto a lot of good teams. Another perfect example are guys like Derek Fisher and Matt Bonner. I hate when people say Derek Fisher KNOWS how to win. Alot of players KNOW how to win they just didn’t have Kobe and Shaq as their teammates for most of their careers. Not taking away anything from Derek who is a solid vet and plays the game smart.
