Bulls GM: Carlos Boozer Likely to Remain in Chicago

Chicago Bulls fans will surely delight in hearing this: team GM Gar Forman claims to like what he’s getting from Carlos Boozer. Per CBS: “Bulls general manager Gar Forman said that he expects Boozer to remain on the team. ‘I think Carlos had a very productive year,’ Forman said. ‘You look back, he’s the only guy on our team that played every game and practiced every day on a team that won more games than anybody in the NBA. He was our second leading scorer and our second leading rebounder. We’re looking forward to Carlos continuing to make progress. I know the last game clouds it a little bit, but he was very productive in the games before that. Even in that last game, in 27 minutes, he had 13 boards. I anticipate Carlos being with us and having another productive year next season. We’re happy Carlos Boozer is here and we like the core of the team that we have under contract.’”

And Gar Forman won Executive of The Year, how exactly?

  • bull22

    this is ridiculous.

  • Oh Nose

    UNBULLIEVABLE.

forman is no fool. what he is saying doesn’t mean he feels the same way.
now with drose out basically for the next season he knows they ain’t going anywhere. so why keep booz? if the opportunity presents itself he shall trade his ass out asap if they can get some value for him like picks or some young talent. in the most likely scenario they will have to trade asik or gibson as well cos booz ain’t worth much

booz aint worth the hair dye on his head.

Worst news I’ve heard from the Bulls since Rose’s injury.

I mean what is Gar supposed to say, you should never put down the players on your team, that nearly makes it impossible to trade them, if you don’t want them nobody else will.

that`s the political correct talk – if foreman finds s.o. takin` this dump contract, boozer`s out faster than the bulls in this year`s playoffs!

I mean, I ain’t mad at that, play him for a year & then dump him. But I’d rather us just blow next season & get a high draft pick.

lol what do you expect him to say? i can’t wait to trade carlos boozer? also nobody really can afford him at his price/production. gonna have to wait until he’s an expiring contract to move him.

  • Brad09

if hes being truthful about what he thinks about Boozer the bulls are in far more trouble than anyone ever thought

Boozer is an important part of this great team. He constantly gets slammed in the media but just keeps producing. He’s huge in the war under the basket. He is one of the main reasons the Bulls consistently out-rebound their opponents and reign superior on defense. I am glad that the Bulls are who they are and am looking forward to seeing them dominate again and again with Boozer as a crucial piece of the puzzle. They just keep winning and winning, yet people still don’t believe. Go Gar! Go Bulls!

Can you Bulls fans imagine Chicago getting a high draft pick and starting a Spurs-esque Dynasty?? Of course, the Rose-less Bulls are still really good…

  • Symman

Trade boozer this. Amnesty boozer that. Boozer gets trashed for everything. It’s not fair to him. He was signed as the scorer for the bulls, and he’s done just that for most of the season. He’s improved greatly from last season. If he keeps on improving at this rate, he’s going to become the bulls’ Scottie Pippen next season.

  • Alaska Bill

I have known Carlos Boozer since his childhood days in Juneau, Alaska. He is a winner. He has won a state high school championship with Juneau-Douglas High School, an NCAA championship with Duke, and an Olympic Gold Medal. He is a role player, who averages 15 points and 9 rebounds, with a 53% field goal percentage. Next year, in his third season under Coach Thibodeau, you will see his defense improve, as he is working on this aspect of his game. Carlos Boozer is a fine young man who give his all to his team every time he goes out on the floor. He has taken a lot of flack from Chicago fans, but those who know the game respect his abilities for what they are — solid. Chicago fans should stop trashing this fellow and start appreciating him. Where are you going to replace his his 15 and 9 and 53%. He is also a good foul shooter. Carols did not come from a privileged background. However, he has given back to his hometown in Alaska by providing an excellent summer basketball camp and giving scholarships to all those who can not afford to attend. Maybe he has made a few mistakes in life — who hasn’t? But this guy will show the Chicago fans that no matter what he may be, he’s not a quitter. Give the man a break! How do Noah’s stats compare to Boozer’s? Boozer is consistent. He’s not super flashy. He plays within his abilities, but he always produces in the long run.
