Jeremy Lin Won’t Play in Game 4 of the Knicks/Heat Series

Linsanity and his surgically repaired left knee will likely have to wait until next season to play again, as Jeremy Lin smartly elected not to suit up for the seemingly doomed Knicks in Game 4. Per the NY Daily News: “Jeremy Lin, one month removed from knee surgery, has ruled himself out of Game 4 of the Knicks-Heat first round playoff series. ‘Yeah, I don’t think the timing (is good),’ Lin said on Thursday. ‘I’ll probably get one more day of contact maybe between now an the next game and I haven’t been able to load it or jump or explode or drive by somebody the way I want to so it’s going to be longer than that.’ The plan all along was that Lin wouldn’t be available for the first round. It was suggested last week that he could possibly return for Game 4 but Lin quickly shot that down. Lin, however, is not ruling himself out for Game 5, which if necessary will be played on Wednesday in Miami.”
