Jeremy Lin Won’t Play in Game 4 of the Knicks/Heat Series

Linsanity and his surgically repaired left knee will likely have to wait until next season to play again, as Jeremy Lin smartly elected not to suit up for the seemingly doomed Knicks in Game 4. Per the NY Daily News: “Jeremy Lin, one month removed from knee surgery, has ruled himself out of Game 4 of the Knicks-Heat first round playoff series. ‘Yeah, I don’t think the timing (is good),’ Lin said on Thursday. ‘I’ll probably get one more day of contact maybe between now an the next game and I haven’t been able to load it or jump or explode or drive by somebody the way I want to so it’s going to be longer than that.’ The plan all along was that Lin wouldn’t be available for the first round. It was suggested last week that he could possibly return for Game 4 but Lin quickly shot that down. Lin, however, is not ruling himself out for Game 5, which if necessary will be played on Wednesday in Miami.”

    game 5, cute.

I also will suit up for the knicks and will play for the entirety of “game 5″. Also scheduled for game 5, Gabrielle Union and Sara Underwood will meet me in the locker room for a halftime length bj.

Well he wont be the only Knick not to play. The rest of his team hasn’t showed up yet in this series either!

The Knicks are just outplayed by a better team. That’s it. No shame, just retool and revamp in the off-season.

Miami’s defense coupled with LeBron and Wade being able to score at will is what’s killing the Knicks. Melo’s constantly being double teamed and forcing up bad shots while everyone else stands around isn’t working. And Teddy, the Knicks have good pieces now, but they don’t move around enough. The only position we DESPERATELY need an upgrade at is at the point. I love the kid, Lin, but he’s not a starter yet. We need to try to sign Steve Nash and have him school Lin and help him develop. We also need the team to find ways to get Novak open shots. Assuming he stays…

This is stupid. Classic NY move based on hype not basketball. Lin should be rested until next year. They will be swept either way, why risk him getting hurt?

  • Haav

    Game 5? Maybe next year.

Lin should suddenly appear. Even if he lose or injure, he will boost up the morale of the team and at least he can pass the ball better than anyone else, and relieve the pressure on Melo who can only play alone. Don’t be afraid to get hurt. Joe Montana was injured many times on his spine, more serious than Lin, but he still plays.

Just suiting up would be an amazing boost for the team. Come on jeremy just suit up

O–Huh? Jeremy Lin NOT a starter??? Let me see–you didn’t see his 38 point performance against the Lakers, who are leading their first round playoff series. You can rationalize all you like, but Lin is more ready to be a starter than anyone you can think of that would actually sign with the Knicks next year.
