Kendrick Perkins Out Indefinitely With Strained Hip


According to a Thunder press release, Kendrick Perkins has a strained right hip, and there is no timetable for his return. The good news is Perkins will get time to rest after OKC swept the Mavs in the first round: “The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that an MRI today confirmed that Kendrick Perkins suffered a right hip muscle strain in last night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. Perkins’ return to play will be based on his progress and recovery in the coming days.”

    I still love him, but Perk is what he is… a slow footed post defender who can’t score. He is an asset and a liability depending on who the team is. I hope he gets well and plays in the second round. He is still fun to watch… even if he no longer wears the green!

    Love Perk. He knows what he is, which is something most guys never figure out. He defends, sets screens, rebounds and occasionally scores in the post. Hope he bounces back.
