Polladaday: Bobcats’ Draft Pick?

With Anthony Davis guaranteed to be off the board, the Charlotte Bobcats will soon have a tough decision to make—who should they select in the first round of this year’s draft?

Who should the Bobcats draft at No. 2?

Of course they are going to select the swingman from UNC.

Too many holes to fill. They need to trade the pick for 2 players and later draft picks or other multiple 1st rounders! Maybe a trade to LA for Pau?

If they keep the pick, there is a 99% chance they pick Barnes. They should trade it (cosign PDJ) preferably for two decent players. Like, Corey Maggette and #2 to Orlando for #19, Glen Davis, Jason Richardson, and Orlando’s 2013 1st Rounder.

@Caboose why do you think there is a 99% chance they take Barnes? His stock has been slipping based on everything I’ve read, I was under the impression he’s not even considered a top five pick anymore.

Harrison Barnes stock maybe slipping but he is a SCORER..much needed..he has potential to be the next Durant..he has a lot more to offer than MKG..

Haslem, where did Jordan go to school? I still remember the ’06 draft with Felton and May.

I like PDJ idea of a trade. I’d take Barnes over MKG because his jumper is better and is just a pure scorer and that’s what the Bobcats could use right now.

May… Wow, that guy really panned out didn’t he.
    I voted Drummond.

I went Drummond too, LS, mostly because the Bobcats have no place to go but up so why not roll the dice on a high-risk prospect?

I would hate to see Thomas Robinson end up in Charlotte, imagine Washington drafting him, that would add another thing to his whole story

The pick for Tyreke Evans n 5th pick …get a big with that pick

If MJ pick Barnes he is really stupid. But I wont be surprise of course.

    It should go like this:
    1. NOLA-Anthony Davis
    2. CHA-Harrison Barnes(Barnes went to UNC because of Jordan and will finally help the Bobcats to score and MJ is in Charlotte too).
    3. WAS-Bradley Beal(this team needs a consistent shooter as well as someone young to run with Wall).
    4. CAVS-Kidd-Gilchrist(as much as I hate cleveland, MKG and Irving wud be amazing 2 gether).
    5. KINGS- Thomas Robinson(Him and Cousins wud be amazing frontcourt threats).
    10. NOLA-Arnett Moultrie/Lillard(could use an upgrade over Kaman and Jack).

Barnes to Charlotte. They need a scorer. MKG to Washington, they need someone, anyone really with a decent basketball IQ.

  • Drew

No chance Barnes goes to Charlotte. Among wings, Beal and MKG are consistently rated much higher. Additionally, Barnes cannot carry the load on offense. Too much pressure to score will make him a chucker. Barnes would excel with a team like Cleveland, where Kyrie is already established as the emerging leader and star of the team. The Bobcats need to draft Robinson for instant low post offense and rebounding. Rebounding prowess usually translates well from college to the NBA.
