Polladaday: Mike Woodson’s Future?

Rumors are swirling regarding Mike Woodson and his future (or lack thereof) as Knicks head coach. Do you think he should be back on the sidelines as New York’s sideline stalker next season?

Should the Knicks bring back Mike Woodson?

If they are not planning on trading Melo? Yes.
    .
    Should they?
    .
    No

    Does it matter?

  • Justin05

    No caboose… No it doesn’t

No disrespect to Mike Woodson at all, but if Mr. 11 Rings Phil Jackson wants to finish his career were it started, then that’s who I want as the head coach of the NY Knicks next season. It would be poetic for Phil to come back to the Knicks…

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

nbk is so CLUELESS when it comes to the Knicks. Real talk bubba.

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

Phil Jackson, Lamar Odom, and Nash. Pefect off-season.

If they sign PJAX they wont need a real point guard. Ditto on Odom, he and Carmelo would be pretty deadly in the Triangle with Chandler and Amare as finishers. They just need a pit bull defensive PG who can stick the three.

Orange I am clueless and you are talking about the Knicks signing free agents and getting Phil Jackson? You are a f*cking moron. Real talk.

  • iknowmybasketball

if they dont bring back woodson, who would the knicks REALISTICALLY bring in as head coach… all this phil jackson stuff is bogus imo. better yet, who would be a better replacement if the knicks can mike woodson?

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

nbk keeps on swinging and missing with is predictions regarding the Knicks. ROFL

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

Phil and LO = Package Deal

I love how ALL Knicks fans think they’ll always get exactly what they want. You know what, here’s the perfect offseason for the Magic: We trade Dwight and Hedo for Durant and Harden, sign Nash, trade the Vince Carter trade exception for Bynum, and reanimate Red Auerbach to coach. Yeah, that’s realistic.

Orange is right, my predictions for the Knicks were they would finish a 4 or 5 seed and had a chance at actually winning a round. Oh how wrong I would turn out to be. I over-estimated them. My bad. Orange, what was it you said they would do again? You know, since what you say is OBVIOUSLY, sooo realistic? Idiot.

I think I beat you to the sarcastic retort nbk ;)

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

JR Smith going to the Clippers nbk? Oh that’s right. lol. You then said it was because of money. What will you do when Phil Jackson comes to the Knicks? Use the same excuse BOY?

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

And Caboose is definitely got his head shoved up nbk’s arse. Creepy!

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

    *has definitely

I was wrong about JR Smith. As I said when he signed with the Knicks. Doesn’t change anything, I already said my prediction about that team was wrong.
    .
And them Getting Phil Jackson is a ridiculous notion. If they do somehow finagle Phil to come out of retirement then i’ll be wrong again. But to me it sounds ridiculous. And to most everyone who has talked to Phil says it’s never going to happen with that roster.
    .
Mike Woodson will get another season, first of all. I guarantee it.
    .
Phil Jackson had some health issues he is just getting over, if he’s not still in the recovery process.
    .
Carmelo wants Woodson back. And we all know James Dolan cares more about Melo’s opinion then yours..(and everyone in New York, including his management)
    .
With all of that, it has been reported (more than once) that Phil Jackson is not a fan or Carmelo or Amar’e's games. So there’s that.

There should really be a “doesn’t matter” option for this poll. D’antoni should still be the coach and the Melo trade should’ve never happened. Phil Jackson is implausible, but it would be really cool to see what he could do with JR Smith (if JR Smith is around next season).
