Amar’e Stoudemire Fined $50,000 for Using Gay Slur on Twitter
As expected, the NBA hit Amar’e Stoudemire in the pocket for using a gay slur on Twitter recently, when angrily responding to a New York Knicks fan. Per the official League press release: “Amar’e Stoudemire of the New York Knicks has been fined $50,000 for using offensive and derogatory language in a Twitter message, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.”
