Blazers Could Trade Jamal Crawford to Sixers, Celtics or T-Wolves

According to CSNNW, Portland is engaged in trade discussions regarding Jamal Crawford with Boston, Philadelphia and Minnesota: “The Portland Trail Blazers are fielding trade offers for guard Jamal Crawford and the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Boston Celtics are among the teams actively pursuing the scoring specialist intensely, a league source said. Other teams who have shown diminutive interest are the Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns according to a person familiar with the situation. [...] A trade would grant Crawford his Bird Rights and If he isn’t traded before or on draft night (June 28), Crawford is expected to opt out and become an unrestricted free agent the very next day.”

I’d think he would be a pretty good fit for the T-wolves, who have needed a shooting guard for awhile now…

Qualifications to play wing for the Wolves
    1) does he breathe?
    2) does he have limbs?
Oh hey! Crawford fits the bill…

Who hasnt Jamal Crawford played for? He can ball but he never sticks around anywhere

Bring him to Boston!! With Ray leaving he’s a great fit for us. He can shoot the lights out, and play point which means A. Bradley doesn’t have to he an eh defender, but my guy Ray was no defensive player of the year either. Bottom line were gonna need someone who can shoot at the 2 and that would be a good look.

Anthony A.Bradley is really good defensively and Ray was decent, Jamal Crawford may as well have rollerskates on when he’s out there

    3) Is he a guard?

Not the sixers please. We need Lou not Jamal.

A backcourt of Rubio and Crawford would be decent. However JC coming off the bench in BOS would be beneficial…especially with Ray Ray possibly leaving. You wont get the 3 point shooting..but you will get better overall scoring and aggressiveness. Plus a little flash and flare to match Rondo’s. I dont see Philly working…unless Lou leaves like he said he might do earlier in the year. Then they would need that 6th man presence.

My first thought too huami, but like L said it’d be perfect stop-gap if Lou walks. As for my C’s I dunno, they can’t be picky with players to acquire, but not sure Bos can afford (literally and figuratively) to have a guy who’s somewhat unpredictable (or maybe that’s exactly what they need)…

Heals…I think it would work. How many Boston cats get in trouble? You have PP, Rondo and perhaps KG coming back, and Doc keeping people in check. I think JC wants to win above all else. He hasnt had many off the court issues lately, or on the court either. I like his game and I feel like BOS would benefit from it. I think Rondo would enjoy having Bradley and Crawford to run with as well.
