Game 7 Between Celtics and Heat Drew Record TV Ratings

Not too shockingly, people tuned in for Game 7 between Boston and Miami on Saturday night in record numbers. Per the AP: “The Miami Heat’s win over the Boston Celtics to reach the NBA finals has drawn the highest preliminary television rating for an NBA playoff game on cable since records started being kept in 2003. Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals Saturday night on ESPN produced a 9.1 overnight rating. The network said Sunday that the three highest overnight ratings for NBA games on cable have come during this series. In Boston, the game had a 21.7 rating, the highest on cable for an NBA playoff game in the market since records started being kept in 2003.”

With all the drama brewed this series, I pretty much knew it was going to be highly viewed….everyone has been talking about this series, fan or no fan. I think a lot of Heat haters (such as myself) tooned in just to see if Boston would possibly pull off another upset, but unfortunately fell short, at the end of the day it was a great series.
#F*** DA HEAT and anybody that love em!
