DJ Augustin Agreed to 1-Year, $3.5 Million Deal With Indiana Pacers


DJ Augustin wasn’t out of a job for very long; he’s now the Indiana Pacers’ new point guard, thanks to a one year deal. Per the Indy Star and Yahoo! Sports: “Pacers have agreed to a 1 year deal with DJ Augustin, according to a source. [...] Contract is worth $3.5 million, source says.”

    Damn, Augustin is a decent back up, but holy eff he isn’t worth that. I guess Indiana doesn’t really need much else, they are gearing up to compete for homecourt again, then reup on George and move Granger. I think so at least.

    naw he isn’t. not on a team that needs players. but for 1 year in Indiana, i understand. they now have DJ expiring and David West Expiring. That’s $13.5M coming off the books to work with for signing Paul George and moving Danny Granger for whatever asset they need at the time (likely a 4).

    One of my least favorite things about you is how you always act like your 100% right about everything… always. Which the statement “I think so at least” didn’t fit into.

    Also, I miss-read what you said and thought it said they wanted to move PG which we all know they don’t want to do.

    i only capitalize when commenting from my phone because it makes me. idk, i have never been a big fan of correct grammar in a comment section, as long as it’s legible and flows (at least a little bit). and idk if you just don’t pay very close attention to my comments or what, but i mention that something is my opinion when i’m giving it for the most part, and i mention when i’m relaying information that i have heard (which always seems to get the most disagreements and causes more arguments, like yesterday when i pointed out that Teletovic was likely going to start at the 4 for Brooklyn, from everything i was hearing). idk, i think your nbk bias is kind of like your LeBron one.

    Slam is never gonna fix these issues. Why would they? We still come here, even if we have lost some really good regulars (Enig, Eboy, Z, even Spanny). As long as they have regular commenters (nbk, Lake, JT, Diesel, Jukai, Allen, myself, and many others), what does it matter?

    Well Slam is about 1/4 as busy in terms of commenters as it was back in like 07. If the system were consistent and maybe even rewarding (like Reddit with its thumbs up button) then SLAM could gain a ton of traffic

    The best thing would be a “mod system,” wherein you could mod other’s posts with like a “+1 Cool” or “+1 Ditto” or “-1 Lame” and stuff like that. Would definitely make stuff more interesting. And shoutout to Redd, newcomer who deserves his due.

    Hey, I’ll suffer through whatever it takes to make this place better. More ads? Go for it. Initial hiccups? Understandable. Small fee for premium or sponsored users? All for it. I’ve always loved Slam and I don’t want to see it slip further and further down the tech curve.

    wierd trade for for the pacers, they will be paying dj more than they would have payed collison, and collison was better in almost every stat category
