Grant Hill Will Reportedly Sign With the LA Clippers

After some flirtation with the Lakers (among others), free agent forward Grant Hill will sign a deal with LA’s other team, the Clippers. Reports Yahoo! Sports: “Free agent Grant Hill has reached agreement on a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources say … Clippers are still finalizing terms of the deal, but Grant Hill has committed to signing with them.”

Whaaaat? Crazy how the Clips are a preferred destination these days. Next thing you know, players will be dying to sign with the Raptors.

Grant Hill remains stealing money, huh?

What’s the over/under on the amount of games del negro gets to make this work before he gets fired ( because he sucks in general, but also fear of losing cp3)? I got 25 games.

Thank God he didn’t go to the Lakers.

Wow..coulda use him at the three and move Deng to the two…man are the Bulls not going to do anything? Hinrich is good but nowhere near enough..

@Reignman, yeah 5 years ago what was more absurd, Grant not missing games and still playing at a fairly high level or the Clips turning into a respectable organization…

  • bdogg

wow!!! i thought he would go thunder or heat!!!

Tamia must be looking to make a comeback, and Grant figured if she’s gonna be in LA and wanna come to the games, Clippers tickets are cheaper! I aint mad at you Grant!

Last year it was Raja Bell turning down an offer to play with the Lakers, now Grant Hill is choosing the Clippers over the Lakers. Either playing with Kobe is not as appealing (for whatever reason) or players really believe they can win elsewhere.

    Heals, good question

The Clippers are still a mess. Blake gets hurts, Jordan is overpaid, CP3 is gone next year, Caron, Chauncy and Hill are very old and fragile. I don’t see where the upside is.

Wonder why he signed here? he probably could of started with the lakers.

    Grant Hill stays stealin’ money.

Clips have a great mixture of youth and experience.. If everyone stays healthy, and the gel together as a team, I’d put them right up there with the Thunder…

detroit still hasnt recovered from giving this bum 200 million for being in a wheelchair

  • RunNGun

Can’t wait ’til Sterling says Grant Hill is fat. Make it happen, Olshey… I mean Donald.

  • LA Huey

“detroit still hasnt recovered from giving this bum 200 million for being in a wheelchair” Detroit got a pretty good ROI on Grant Hill… Perhaps you were referring to Orlando?

What a great career move, Grant Hill. LOL

  • TheWhiteMarkPrice

@king, Detroit won a title in 04, seems like the only recovery they wanted.

  • LAguneroFan

I’m thinking Grant signed with the Clippers because the Lakers chose Jamison over him.

The clippers picked up another injury faker.

  • robb

I thought he wanted to go to a contender

  • Nashty

HILL go to the Lakers and try to chase for a wing along with STEVE NASH.

  • Jerome

    The Clips continue to underwhelm.

    @Mas,

“The Clippers are still a mess. Blake gets hurts, Jordan is overpaid, CP3 is gone next year, Caron, Chauncy and Hill are very old and fragile. I don’t see where the upside is.”

The Clippers just made it to the second round. Bynum was hurt EVERY year before this one. The LAkers have a higher payroll, CP3 can get 100 mil from the Clippers, way more than what any other team can offer (also, sign & trades are no longer permitted after this year, just in case you wanted to say a s&t to NY was gonna happen). and the Lakers are older……….So if the Clippers have no upside, the Lakers must be in shambles…….Sounds like a hater to me

  • Percy Jackson

@Shock Exchange your a moron you can stick him on the other teams best wing and and he’s showed he’s got something left in the tank

  • LA Huey
