Houston Rockets add Scott Machado, Zoran Dragic to Summer League Roster


The Houston Rockets, who selected Jeremy Lamb, Royce White and Terrence Jones in last week’s Draft, have reached agreements with former Iona point guard Scott Machado and 23-year-old shooting guard Zoran Dragic, brother of NBAer Goran Dragic. From the Houston Chronicle: “Machado averaged 9.9 assists per game last season and was a surprise draft snub last week. The Rockets will also bring Zoran Dragic, the brother of point guard Goran Dragic, to Las Vegas, according to the individual with knowledge of the Rockets plans. Temple’s Dionte Christmas, Ariziona’s Kyle Fogg, Clemson’s Jerai Grant and Detroit’s Eli Holman will also be a part of the team. The Rockets summer league entry is consider unusually crucial because of the many young players on their roster. Draft picks Terrence Jones, Jeremy Lamb and Royce White will play along with last season’s first round picks Marcus Morris and Donatas Motiejunas. Patrick Patterson and Chandler Parsons also plan to be with the team, though it was not determined yet if they would play in the games July 13 through July 18.”
