Indiana Pacers Renounce Rights To AJ Price

The Indiana Pacers have renounced their rights to restricted free agent guard A.J. Price, making him an unrestricted free agent. Via Rotoworld: “The Pacers are set at PG with Darren Collison and George Hill under contract, they still have faith in backup guard Lance Stephenson, and they’re said to be targeting SGs like O.J. Mayo and Courtney Lee in free agency. There’s simply no space for a marginal guy like Price on the roster.”

Price is another one of those guards who is really a two, but because of height they try to make him run point. When given the opportunity he can get buckets.

The Knicks could use AJ Price. He’s a solid backup when given minutes. He could learn under Jay Kidd as well.

He should not be in the NBA anyway, he should be playing oversees or in the NBA Development league.

“The Seed”, you have no idea what you’re talking about… you probably would have said the same thing about Jeremy Lin. How’d that work out?

Sometimes guys don’t get the best opportunities with their first team.

AJ is the kind of guy that steps up to the challenge. He performs better when under adversity. Calhoun knew that.

Here’s to hoping AJ gets another shot with an NBA team.

AJ Price has unbelievable vision and should be resigned!! The best passer on the team! Vogel was just too heavy with larger contracted players and never gave him enough of a chance down the stretch?? The Pacers we able to hang with Chicago a year ago only because of AJ’s passing ability!!
