He’s absolutely going to do that in a game at some point. Probably next month.

If I look at his shot (not the moves) it does look like a little skyhook. So why not spend your time mastering Kareem’s shot? That would be unstopable. I really can’t understand nobody has put in the time to master that shot. It may take years but it’s worth it.

Dope, I’m bout to head to the playground and try this move.

  • LA Huey

LOL. What a dork. Love live the King and whatnot.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

Coach K would personally walk onto the court and shoot LeBron if he tried that move during a real game.

  • http://itsahardwoodlife.blogspot.com omphalos

Would actually be pretty easy to stop after the first couple of times he did it, certainly not unstoppable by any means.

  • arjae828

    1. That move would definitely work, at least once a game although I’m aware he probably wouldn’t be able to replicate it or its success if defended but still. 2. he mad two out of three on video wth? he’d win every horse comp with that.

@omphalos, pretty sure the “unstoppable” part was a joke. Its basically an up and under move, it just looks funny when you do it all fast and goofy like that.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

I’m impressed with the control he has on his left hand.

  • http://nba.com GP23

Lol, I actually like it. Although, no way is it unstoppable.

  • bonK

He jus might wait to bring it out against durant next time they meet up

  • Groves

the good thing is it could always be used as a counter move for a hook shot if he ever develops a great one

  • Rik Smits Mullet

Lebron is a lefty. His jump shot is right handed though. But his left hand is his dominant hand.
Man i would pay money to see these guys train.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

    Lebron with “Da-Meat-Hook”

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance21

Yeah he writes with his left. I had a boy growing up like that, wrote lefty, played ball righty. It was and still is the weirdest thing to me. Westbrook is that way too.

  • Anon e Mouse

5th time watching it and I’m still laughing! Come on he’s just playing around people, stop with the “no it’s not unstoppable” type comments and enjoy.

  • flimo

Looks like a little kid trying to copy Rondo’s moves.

  • http://Slamonline.com 1982

I chuckled a few times, more of this stuff amid the trade rumors please.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Redd

Leftys are crazy with the lay ups no joke.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

If you think Rondo made up that move, I suggest you go to Youtube and search the name “Hakeem Olajuwon.”
    Be educated.

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

Who is he to deem a shot as unstoppable ….I swear this guy is so full of himself

  • LA Huey

Speaking of Olajuwon, I wonder what Dream’s reaction would be to this. Playful chuckle and an eyeroll would be my guess.
I hate trying to check lefties. It’s like a playing a video game where they invert all your directional control.

  • onlytheflyest

Lebron is enjoying life the dude is a good person at heart loves to have fun an enjoy life. Stop the hate.

  • http://www.reverbnation.com/tray24 T-Ray

Pretty sure this was a joke Royal

  • http://www.dimemag.com Royal

    0_o yeah I know he was T-Ray

  • cultr23

it s unstoppable because no defender can guard him when he does the goofy moves without laughing his ass off…

  • http://www.reverbnation.com/tray24 T-Ray

Just checking Royal the stupidity of this site during the summer has been tremendously high was making sure you didn’t fall into it.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Slick Ric

I would actually try that. lol

  • Jerome

Laugh and the world laughs with you …

  • http://www.slamonline.com Redd

I dislike LeBron but if he started using the sky hook..well then damn.

  • dywm

He has another unstoppable move called “taking four or five steps while holding the ball”

  • Heals

Good stuff, awesome to see a guy (who was already very gregarious and outgoing) just enjoying himself even more than usual without any clouds looming overhead. Scared to think about the potential this man has if he plays unburdened, stays healthy and puts in “the time” in the off season over the years…

@Allen as great as Olajuwan was he did not make the move, I don’t know who “created” it but McHale used it before the dream, Adrian Dantley did it well, even Wilt had it in his arsenal.

  • Valerio

    clearly travel

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

LeBron writes with his left hand. Don’t be impressed with his coordination.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

Shutup is right that McHale & Dantley did a variation of that move. Wilt didn’t though. idk what you talkin about with that. Wilt did not have that move. He pump faked a lot. But he didn’t use his pivot like that.

His big dipper move, the stretch finger roll is what I was refereeing too, it was like the early stage of McHales “white salamander”

Wilt Chamberlain : The Greatest Offensive Force on youtube @3:35 is an example of Wilt using it.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

I also write with my left hand, but in sports I’m a righty. Some people are lefties at some things and righties at others. Some, like David Lee, are even amphibious.

Wilt Chamberlain’s tomahawk post move on 6’10 Bob Pettit -another youtube video showing Wilt using this move

  • Jer Boi

I think you mean ambidextrous Teddy

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

i stand corrected. — my bad shutup

it’s cool, I wanna say thank you though I just spent the last 10 min watching Wilt vs Kareem highlights, damn those battles were epic. Also the whole writes one hand lays another hand happens a lot more in hockey, i know many righties that use a left handed stick

  • http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2011/10/nfl-players-advice-to-lebron-james-stick-to-basketball/ shutup

@jerboi it was a movie reference by Teddy, I cant remember what movie he was definitely being sarcastic

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

a lot of “stick” sports that include the strong hand as the lead hand are that way. A lot of right handed people hit a golf ball left handed – baseball left handed and vice versa – (by a lot i mean like 1 in every 20)

  • http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2011/10/nfl-players-advice-to-lebron-james-stick-to-basketball/ shutup

I can switch hit in baseball with relative success (relative being the operative word), could never play hockey lefty, Lacrosse is fairly easy to play either hand dominant.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

i am actually ambidextrous (or as close to it as possible without literally being ambidextrous) – i write left handed, throw left handed, and golf left handed – play basktball right handed, tennis/racquitball right handed – bat, eat, and everything else with both hands. Just whatever hand i started doing an activity with first is the hand i ended up becoming “dominant” with – it’s really just a matter of which i practiced with more, like any difference in skill.

  • LA Huey

I play my Nintendo DS and fap with my left hand. Everything else I do with my right.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

  • http://www.slamonline.com 19821982

BS, Impossible to play DS one-handed.

  • LA Huey

Not if it’s a turn-based RPG and you’re standing on the bus.

  • dev0

    this is hilarious

  • phil da windmill

don’t think that move can work in a game cause it kind look like he carried i’m not sure though .

my boy used to play tekken with his hands behind his back and the controller upside down, I still wont play that game till this day f-in cheezy basturd

  • Do Work

how can you carry the ball without dribbling?

  • ReHeat

Allenp U r actually impressed by the control of the best basketball player in the world’s left hand? Ever seen him play? I think he’s been in the league for a while now buddy.

  • ReHeat

Dam Shutup is educating the ‘regulars’ today.

  • http://slamonline.com Datkid

    lmaooo @ LA Huey

Exactly. Bron is not a lefty for all you tools that need sharpened out there.

Upside down, underwater, behind my eyes closed.
