Memphis Grizzlies Also Interested in Ray Allen

While Ray Allen is currently in South Beach flirting with the Miami Heat, the Memphis Grizzlies are said to be heavily interested in his services. Reports the Commercial Appeal: “As the NBA’s free agency period continues to heat up like the temperatures outside, news of potential Grizzlies moves remain the only thing cool in Memphis. Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen continues to be the top player sought by the Grizzlies, But whether Allen considers Memphis a real contender for his services remains to be seen. [...] Earlier this week, Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace, who has been out of town, said he could have some free agent visits lined up upon his return to Memphis on Friday, but no such plans had been arranged with Allen.”

Depends what Ray Ray wants more. Another ring, or more shots… to chase records, and pad the ones he has already set. He would get the ball much more in Memphis then he would in Boston or Miami. It might boil down to Him not feeling the love from Rondo, and if any team offers him a 3rd year, could be enough. I think he’s gone to Miami. Sooner or later, Boston is going to have replace their starters with younger guys. It’s happening with Ray and it’s going to happen with Pierce in a couple as well. Bass, Bradley and Jeff Green are part of the process of making the team younger. Jason Terry is there to keep them contend while they do it.
