Philadelphia Sixers Signed Spencer Hawes to 2-Year, $13 Million Deal


Spencer Hawes is returning to the City of Brotherly Love for a reported $13 million over two years. Per the Philly Inquirer: “The Sixers and center Spencer Hawes have agreed to a two-year deal worth about $13 million. Hawes, 24, averaged 9.6 points and 7.3 rebounds in 37 games last season. He shot 48.9 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the line. In the postseason, Hawes averaged 9.3 rebounds and 6.6 rebounds per game.”

    Finally… a fair deal for both sides. 6.5 million for hawes is a bargain considering all of the other crazy contracts that have been given up. Aside from that, hawes is a good utility player whom played pretty well for his role last season. He needs to improve his defense a little more but overall, this is a very good deal.
