Brook Lopez Believes Nets Can Win NBA Title Next Season

Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez said he believes the new-looked, newly-located Brooklyn Nets have what it takes to win the NBA Championship next season. On paper, Lopez may have an argument. On the floor, though, it remains to be seen if and how the pieces will co-exist. Via PhilStar.com: “‘Obviously our main goal is no question the NBA championship. I think it is realistic for us. We’re already a good playoff team so with the addition of other pieces, we can target the ring,’ said Lopez, who was recently re-signed by the Nets to a four-year deal. Despite coming off a season-ending foot injury last season, the good-natured Lopez has stated that all his injuries are now water down the bridge, and that he is raring to prove it on opening night against their cross-town rivals, the New York Knicks. ‘The rehab for my injury is going great. I’m just trying to get it stronger as possible. But I’m happy to say I’m ready for the season to start,’ says Lopez. ‘I’m definitely working out on some new moves. I wouldn’t want to give it away or anything. I’m not going to spill it out yet but all of you should be ready for a brand new and better me. I’m really happy. This is where I want to be. You know I’m excited with the group of guys we have right now.'”
