Chris Paul Out 8 Weeks After Undergoing Thumb Surgery

Los Angeles Clippers star point guard Chris Paul underwent surgery this morning to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb, and per a press release, will be out for approximately eight weeks. Paul recently returned from the London Olympics, where he averaged 8 points, 5 assists and an tournament-high 2.5 steals per game, culminating in a Gold Medal. “The injury occurred last month during Team USA training camp in Las Vegas, Nevada. The surgery was performed by Dr. Steven Shin, a hand specialist at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Paul is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks, at which time he is projected to resume all basketball activities including full contact.”

He actually hurt himself playing xbox 360, trying to beat Deron Willaims in NBA 2k12. He wanted to finally beat him in a one on one matchup.
