Goodman League Roundball Classic May Feature Several NBA Players

You never know with these things — players drop out at the last minute, some show up unexpectedly — but for what it’s worth, the promo for the Goodman League Roundball Classic (August 19th in Maryland) is hyping up appearances from a bunch of NBA dudes. Per the DC Sports Bog: “The Goodman League Roundball Classic is scheduled for Aug. 19 at Wise High in Upper Marlboro. The day is scheduled to include an AAU game featuring Team Takeover and Baltimore’s Finest, a performance by Wale, and a Goodman League select team playing against an NBA team featuring John Wall, Gilbert Arenas, Ty Lawson, Josh Selby and R&B’s Chris Brown, of all people.”

If they let Chris Brown play there should be a strike. Chris Brown?? Talk about a fall from grace. Any guy who beats up a woman needs to get in the ring with a Gracie for about 30 seconds, it’ll be the last time anything like that happens I guarantee it. Wish the same for Mayweather. 30 seconds with even a 16 year old Gracie and dude would probably never be able to box again.

@JTaylor21 I fully support any and all Chris Brown hate (although we still dont know the full story or what that Frankenstien head broad did) but leave Mayweather out of this lol

haha yep a 90+ year old Helio would have wiped the mat with Chris Brown.
@Kevin – Mayweather just needs to get his butt whipped due to his avoidance of Pacquiao. Imagine Ali in his day avoiding the other top fighter(s). Never.

C’mon son Pacquiao would get the brakes beaten off him if he ever stepped foot in a ring with Mayweather. Dont believe the hype

@ Kevin – well, you are an idiot and obviously have no idea about anything concerning boxing. You can’t deny they fact the Mayweather has been scared to have anything to do with not only Pacquiao but to get in the ring with anyone who is remotely top-notch. You are into “hype”, I am a fighting historian so just calm down and stay out of things you are uneducated on, son.

LMAO @JTaylor21 you obviously dont know me well or at all. I always welcome a boxing discussion as a student of the sweet science. The fact that you would say that Mayweather is scared to get in the ring with “anyone who is remotely top-notch” is blantant hating. Mayweather’s career at 130 and 135 alone squashes that ridiculous claim. Please dont go there, and Pacquiao has just as much to do with their fight not happening as Mayweather.

Regardless, I think it is safe to say that not a boxer in the world would last a minute with a Gracie…even if the Gracie’s couldnt throw a punch.
