Magic Assistant Coach Steve Clifford to Join Lakers

Assistant coach Steve Clifford , who spent the last five seasons with the Orlando Magic, has agreed to join Lakers head coach Mike Brown on his coaching staff. Via CSNNW.com: “The terms of the agreement are expected to be finalized by the end of the week. In Los Angeles, Clifford will be a familiar face to the team’s new franchise center Dwight Howard having spent five season with him in Orlando. Initially, the Magic had shown interest in Clifford filling their head coaching vacancy before the team decided to go in a different direction and later hired Jacque Vaughn from San Antonio.”

Over here in the UK, charities tend to send ill and less fortunate kids over to Disneyland to enjoy their life. I always wondered where Floridian charities sent their unhappy until last week…

Steve Clifford will be a great addition to the Lakers organization. Back in the day, we used to whoop up everybody when Steve was point guard and I was in the post and on the wing.
