The 20 Best Flicks From the 2012 Rookie Photo Shoot

The future is here.

The annual NBA rookie photo shoot always provides a series of entertaining flicks. Some are hilarious as a result of their awkwardness, in that adorable kid-on-the-first-day-of-school kind of way; some are heartwarming as a result of their excitement, in that up-and-comer-declaring-his-arrival kind of way; and some are, well, some are just damn good photos. To save you the hassle of rolling through dozens and dozens of shots over at Getty, we compiled what we think are the 20 best—for any of the various reasons listed in the previous sentence—and placed them in the gallery above. Roll through it to get a glimpse of the future, and a glimpse of what these dudes will look like on their first Panini trading cards.

    LOL. Anthony Davis always looks like he’s having fun in his pictures. But then again, if I had the type of year he is having, I would be acting happy and silly too! LOL. Might as well have fun!

    I can understand the pictures with the smoke in the background and maybe also the ones like Davis’ last, but why do they keep making pictures of the players jumping in the air or making a pass?? And do they really have to add a background like this?

    I enjoy all the silly poses much better than the attempts at being intimidating. Also, Zeller is the opposite of handsome.
