Anthony Tolliver to Sign With the Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks will employ Anthony Tolliver next season, who doesn’t sound all that thrilled about the way his time in Minnesota came to an end. Per Fox Sports: “No,’ Tolliver, a power forward, said when asked whether it was tough at all to leave the Timberwolves after two seasons. ‘It’s a business. They told me they were looking to bring me back… But they never really offered me anything. They had said signing me was a priority, but at the end of the day they didn’t move forward. Everything happens for a reason. It’s all part of the business.’ When the Timberwolves agreed to terms with Lou Amundson, another power forward on Monday, Tolliver knew it was time to leave. Tolliver made $2.05 million last season with the Timberwolves but will get a one-year minimum guaranteed deal from Atlanta worth $915,852. He said that’s become a ‘new normal’ in the NBA that teams are being more conservative with money.”
