Brooklyn Nets, Josh Childress Agree to One-Year Deal

The Nets and forward Josh Childress have come to an agreement on a 1-year deal. From the Star-Ledger: “Free agent forward Josh Childress has agreed to a deal with the Nets, the 6-8 forward confirmed on his Twitter page moments ago. The agreement was first reported by the New York Times. Childress, 29, was amnestied by the Phoenix Suns in July agreed to a non-guaranteed, one-year deal, according to Yahoo Sports. Presuming he makes the Nets’ roster out of training camp, he will likely serve as the backup small forward, playing behind Gerald Wallace.”

This is a solid pickup for the Nets seeing as hes just a backup for the sf position it’s really a low cost high reward move and personally I like it; and hopefully he should put up better numbers his second year back in the nba
