Denver Nuggets Sign Quincy Miller

The Denver Nuggets have signed second-round draft pick Quincy Miller, effectively completing the team’s 15-man roster. The 6-9, one-and-done forward from Baylor, averaged 6.8 points and 5 rebounds per game during the NBA Summer League. Via the Denver Post: “It’s understood that on this deep Nuggets team, the 19 year old will likely spend some time in the D-League this season. But the plan is to have the Baylor product in camp and let him develop with Denver’s assistants as much as possible. The 6-9, 210-pound forward, was the 38th overall selection in the draft. He averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 37 games, helping the Baylor Bears reach the Elite Eight. Miller was actually considered one of the top players in his entire high-school class, along with Anthony Davis, before an injury.”

Denver can beat any team in the west except okc, not saying they will just that its possible. Faster than the spurs, better bench than the lakers, better coached than the clippers. Their up-tempo offense is somewhat similiar to okc’s(both teams get to the free throw line better than anyone else, both capitlise frequently on fast breaks, neither have much of a low post game), and while their very good at what they do okc is better. Until denver improves defensivly they wont beat them.

Injury or not I still wanted my Raptors to draft him! Here’s hoping they took the right Quincy…

SAME! I was so glad he dropped to us, then was so sad we skipped him. I was more disappointed in our second round than our first.

playing time will be very hard to find on a deep nuggets roster. hello d-league

Can’t believe he fell to the second round either. Still, SLAM fam for life

If dude had gone back to Baylor and put up numbers he would have been an early first round pick. The Nuggets got him at a steep discount. However, 2101bs won’t cut it against grown men.

That’s why they got McGee and Iggy. A full season with all these nice players they have will do wonders.

Depends on if Karl will play him at the 2 or 3. If he is at the 3, then he will get limited minutes. He will get more minutes if he is at the 2. Well, depends on how Hamilton/Brewer plays lol.

very unfortunate injury, if he was healthy he would have been a top 25 pick. hopefully he works hard and eventually emerges from the inevitable trip to the D-League
