Jason Terry Plans to ‘Kill’ the LA Lakers and Miami Heat

Jason Terry may be new in Boston, but he’s already immersed himself fully in the rivalries between the Celtics, Lakers and Heat.

According to Terry, he’s on a mission to destroy the two main contenders for the NBA title in 2013. The man known as “The Jet” doesn’t go into specifics, but mark his words … or something to that effect.

Per CSNNE:

“My mission is to kill; whether it’s the Heat, whether it’s the Lakers. Hopefully both. That’s my mission, and that’s what I’m here to do,” Terry said.

His value becomes even greater when you consider Bradley (shoulders) is expected to miss the first couple months of the season, in addition to Ray Allen opting to sign with the Miami Heat instead of returning to Boston. Terry isn’t putting much thought into who he is replacing, or the team he left behind in Dallas. “Another opportunity to win a championship, that’s what it’s all about,” Terry said. “There’s no other motive but to go out and win, and win it all.”

Jason Terry’s mission won’t be an easy one. In addition to an aging Celtics roster, major departures (see: Allen, Ray), injuries to key contributors, the two teams that Terry plans to annihilate will both be considerably stronger this season.

Terry’s goals are honorable, but that has nothing to do with them being realistic.
