San Antonio Spurs Worked Out Jason Kapono

There’s not much more than a tweet right now, but according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the San Antonio Spurs have been working out 6-8 forward Jason Kapono. Kapono, a nine-year NBA veteran who spent last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, has long been coveted for his ability to shoot from 3-point range.

Bonner + Kapono + Ginobili + SJax + Neal = Hoo-wee, a stretch out style of offense for the bench. I know, ridiculous, 2K style idea.

very nice!i hope they sign him..would like to see spurs win the title..but they’ll need to play amazing to do so…they crapped out against OKC last year..went up 2-0..then lost 4 straight…–> weak!

I hope we don’t sign him. We’re already set at the 3 with Kawhi & Jax, and we don’t need another 1 dimensional player who can’t play a lick of defense. We need a Center or an athletic PF, like Kenyon Martin

On the fence about this, just hope they don’t lay another egg in playoffs. dude can shoot the lights out but not really a fan of his overall game. Would be a plus to have him when the shooting goes cold like it did last year against the Thunder.

Bad decision, he wont get any playing time under pop because he cant play any defence. Like none whatsoever. His defensive incapability negates any shooting ability he brings to the table, as far as a coaching mind like popovich’s works.
