A Philly Dealer Branded Heroin ‘LeBron James’

The police busted a heroin dealer from Philadelphia who they claim branded his stuff using LeBron James’ name. Per the Philly Daily News: “LeBron James has endorsed McDonald’s, Nike and State Farm, but there’s one product right now on the streets of Philadelphia carrying his name that he most certainly did not endorse – heroin. Upper Darby police said that they busted a major heroin dealer from Philadelphia on Thursday who had 140 packets of the deadly drug – all of which were stamped with the silhouette of a basketball player and the name ‘LeBron James.’ ‘I don’t think LeBron James would be too happy with this drug-dealer dude using his name on these street bags,’ said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood. Chitwood said that drug dealers stamp every bag of heroin with a name, but it’s usually one like Hellen or Hazel or words like horse or brown sugar.”

This looks like drug promotion to me pathetic that it makes headlines disgusting

  • Kadavour

Exactly the kind of press the league doesn’t need. People still jump off bridges, it just doesn’t get reported for obvious reasons. Slam would be wise to take this down or risk the appearance of negligence, incompetence – or even worse – muck raking. Observing how you guys handle this one fellas.

^ judge and jury huh? not only am i judging you SLAM, but I’m judging those of you who comment on this….because my judgement means more than jack shit.

  • Jerome

Not cool SLAM … not one bit. It would be almost ok if you had a direct LeBron quote, but even then … where’s your head at?

  • shawnkemp4prez

If someone named some weed “That Aaron Rogers” would it make news on an NFL site? Why must SLAM put this as a featured story? I’m a fan of this site, but there’s no need for this story to be here…dumb move
