Lamar Odom Determined to Prove Doubters Wrong

Lamar Odom’s second stint in Clipper-Land got off on the wrong foot, health and conditioning-wise. But Lamar feels as though things will turn around, and he’s motivated to show that he has something left in the ol’ tank. From Fox Sports and the LA Times: “Soon enough, Lamar Odom is going to make his point. Or his detractors are going to make theirs. Ever since the Clippers traded for the 6-foot-10 Odom last June 29, the question has always been, which Odom are they getting? ‘For the record, I think I’ll be the Lamar of 2010,’ Odom said Monday after taking part in his first practice in two weeks. ‘That’s the Lamar you’re going to get.’ […] ‘Hopefully I’ll play,’ Odom said about the season opener. ‘Hopefully, if the trainer lets me. It’s always his decision.’ Odom was asked whether his knee was injured during the summer, which would explain why he came to training camp out of shape and overweight. ‘Injuries are a part of the game,’ Odom said. ‘I don’t know what else to tell you.’ He was asked whether he was finally in game-shape condition. ‘Yeah,’ he responded. Odom also was asked how much he weighed. ‘I don’t know,’ he said. ‘I just go out there and play. I don’t weigh myself.'”
