Mark Cuban Wants the Same Dallas Mavericks Team Next Season

Mark Cuban is pumped up about this year’s Mavs, and the owner claims that the ideal situation would be to bring the same group back together next season. Per the Star-Telegram: “Every Mavs player except Dirk Nowitzki, Shawn Marion and rookie Jared Cunningham could potentially be in last year of their contract — if all of the options are exercized. But Cuban explained that doesn’t necessarily mean those players will be wearing new uniforms next fall. ‘I’ll tell you exactly what I told them,’ Cuban said. ‘The best situation is everybody kills it, and they’re all back. Then, I don’t have to deal with all the idiot questions over the summer and we’ve got a great team to build on. That’s what I want.’”

I hate these misleading Slam headlines. No, Cuban didn’t say he wanted his team back, period. He said that ideally the team kills it this year, in which case he’d try to bring everybody back. Come on!
