Vince Carter Wants to Be the Mavericks’ New Sixth Man

Vince Carter intends to fill the void left by Jason Terry in Dallas, as the featured Sixth Man for the Mavericks. Per the Dallas Morning News: “For the last decade, they have been a team with a featured sixth man. Jason Terry was the anchor of the bench. Everybody else filled in around him. It may not work that way anymore with Terry moved on to Boston. But if Vince Carter has anything to say about it, the Mavericks won’t miss Terry’s instant offense off the bench. ‘I’m down for it,’ Carter said when asked if he wanted to be the new sixth man. ‘I’ll come in and help the team, remain verbal — I do that well. I just try to keep us going forward and not regress. When the second unit comes on the floor, they have to keep it going. I just try to do a little bit of everything to help the team.'”
