James Harden Making Lifestyle Adjustments for New Role

As the go-to-guy in Houston, James Harden must carry a significantly increased burden, and the 23-year-old knows he must take better care of his body. From the Houston Chronicle: “Guard James Harden was named Monday as the Western Conference Player of the Week, but he had to put in some work to earn the first weekly honor of his three-year career. Harden averages 41.7 minutes in his first chance to be his team’s primary option. He said he will have to get accustomed to that pace. ‘I’ve got to lock down and take care of my body and make sure my eating habits are good and that I’m getting rest,’ he said. ‘It’s still basketball, but it’s more than I’ve been playing, and the role I’m playing is different from what I’m used to.’”

Westbrook should STILL be in houston instead of harden. Chris Webber describes Harden’s playstyle as “Old man game” for a reason. he has the type of solid fundamental play that doesnt require a great deal of atheleticsm. Westbrook on the other hand is pure atheletisism. when that runs out he’ll be hard to find minutes for. Harden should be able to play at a high level for much longer. The thunder will rue the day they traded James harden, they will RUE IT I TELL YOU!!! *SHAKES FIST AT SKY!!
