Denver Nuggets Missed a Record-Breaking 22 Three-Pointers

Though quite effective in the paint, the Denver Nuggets’ bricks from beyond the arc cost them dearly last night in Portland. The Blazers took home a 101-93 win after watching the Nuggets miss all 22 three-point attempts. Per the Denver Post: “According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that’s the most 3s missed in a game without one make in NBA history. Moreover, the Nuggets only made one shot clearly outside of the paint, a Ty Lawson jumper in the final minute (two of their basket were right on the left edge of the paint). So they finished 38-for-98 from the field (38.8 percent), making 37 baskets in the paint (for 74 points in the paint, a team season-high). Unreal. And from Stats Inc. — since 2006-07, the fewest field goals made by a team outside the paint was four. Denver made one at Portland.”
