Derrick Rose to Start Practicing Soon With the Chicago Bulls?

by Marcel Mutoni@marcel_mutoni

The Chicago Bulls have played valiantly without Derrick Rose so far this season, managing to hover above .500 so far (8-7). They might soon be getting a much-needed boost, if the latest reports out of the Windy City are to be believed.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Rose may start taking part in team practices within a few weeks:

According to an NBA source, while ‘‘The Return’’ to the court for NBA games is still up in the air for Rose, the all-everything point guard could be just weeks away from practicing with the Bulls again after surgery on his left anterior cruciate ligament last May. ‘‘That’s the belief that a couple of [the Bulls’] players are under,’’ the source said.

Rose has been expected to be able to play in games by February, but that has been inferred more than actually stated. Even if the Bulls receive the ultimate Christmas present of getting him back on the practice court just before Dec. 25, it doesn’t mean he’s necessarily ahead of that February schedule — or behind it. Asked Monday if there was a specific timetable for Rose to start practicing, general manager Gar Forman answered in a text message: ‘‘We’re still taking the process step by step, and a date hasn’t been set.’’

Since last month, Derrick Rose has been cutting on his surgically-repaired left knee and he is now running sprints inside the Bulls’ training facility.

It’s encouraging news for the Chicago Bulls and their fans, but as the Daily Herald wisely cautions, there’s a reason the team has yet to commit to a return date: there are many more hurdles to hop over before Derrick Rose can truly be back.

What he’s doing is amazing to me. The toll on a healthy RB’s knees is tough enough, but less than a year after rebuilding his ACL and he’s having this season? Wow.

Back to Rose, not sure what the benefit is of having him play this year. All I can think of is Arenas and how he came back before his knee was ready. He was never the same again, and he’s not nearly as explosive an athlete as D Rose. He should tread carefully.

I know lol but i cant afford to pay 180 bucks to watch the games online because i am 17 and cant get a job during the hoops season. I was wondering if somebody could hook me up on this. I didnt know everyone was so tight about this.

I don’t think you understand what you are asking of total strangers. Maybe this will make more sense…….. .
Wanna mail me your Xbox for like a day, maybe thirty?
    .
Seeing as how you are asking for the password to someone’s property, prohibiting them from using it when you, the center of the universe are enjoying yourself maybe the above analogy will strike a chord. .

don’t rush him! There must be a lot of pressure from the team and his sponsors and I’m sure Derrick can’t wait to play but they should wait until next year to get him on the court. Don’t f*ck up the kid’s career.

i also cant afford a xbox dumbass. how can i afford an xbox if i cant afford a league pass. and wtf is your problem?

oh so you need me to think of something else? you don’t understand what an example is? you don’t have the ability to understand an analogy? how bout you let me borrow whatever device let’s you express how naive you are to the world around you? maybe that’ll help you understand.
    .
edit: if you don’t know what i’m referring to, think about it right before you press the comment button. with your pea sized little mind.

    .
anyway……LOL!!! was that your attempt at an insult? cuz i don’t give a flying sh*t about my twitter followers. why you checkin my twitter anyway?

  • MarkNavarro

first of all your twitter is on your profile. 2nd stevethecannon was asking a question you didn’t have to be so up tight about the question you could of just said nothing. Have your parents not told you the golden rule? If you have nothing nice to say dont say it.

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

first of all, if i want to make a joke out of a stupid question, i have all the right in the world to do it. I’m not uptight about the question, i said my comment making fun of his stupid question, then he responded to me so i responded back honestly. Nothing uptight about that AT ALL.
    .
and that’s cute, you are posting and then upvoting your own comments. lol, good job, you like your own stuff. or StevetheCannon is trolling this conversation waiting for someone to defend him? either way, it’s pathetic.
    .
Since you are so interested in me, how many of my twitter followers have i actually asked for? and why does how many people i follow, vs how many follow me matter? i’m not a member of the media. I don’t need a single damn follower.
