Iman Shumpert to Release Mixtape at 12:21

Ready or not, here Iman Shumpert comes.

No, the New York Knicks wing, who is currently rehabbing a torn ACL suffered late last April, isn’t coming back to the court just yet. But Shumpert, a huge hip-hop head who raps under the name 2wo 1ne, is coming out with a mixtape.

Set to release at 12:21 a.m. on Friday, December 21—the 21s are an ode to his jersey number, which is an ode to his mother’s birthday—the tape,Th3 #Post90s, will be available for immediate download on his website, ImanShumpert.com.

The mixtape, which was mostly recorded this past summer while Shumpert was recovering and working out in New York, isn’t the Oak Park, IL, native’s first tape—he released a slew of them back in high school—but it is the first official project he has put out since entering the NBA.

In addition to Shumpert and his childhood friends, Ari Stylez and PhlyyB, Th3 #Post90s features Chrisette Michele, an award-winning R&B singer.
