Minnesota Timberwolves Waived Josh Howard After Knee Injury

It’s a cold world out there, friends. Minnesota showed Josh Howard the door after he tore up his right knee. Per the AP: “The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived forward Josh Howard after he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee. Howard was injured Friday at New Orleans. The team initially hoped he would be able to return this season, but an MRI revealed the torn ligament. Howard averaged 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11 games for the Wolves this season. It’s the latest in a long line of injuries for the Wolves. Chase Budinger, Brandon Roy and Malcolm Lee all are out with knee injuries. Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, JJ Barea and Andrei Kirilenko have also missed time with various injuries.”

It was fun for a while there imagining what it would be like if Roy and Howard were actually able to retain there pre-injury forms to play for the wolves.

He will be missed and I hope he can get healthy for another attempt at a comeback.

They might need to check if their medical staff are actually ok.

Wow… the League Pass darlings are just hit with injury after injury. SMH Just tough luck. With J-HO waived, they should be looking for another swingman but who is still available?

This is why I side with players in CBA disputes. When teams make harsh decisions it’s just business, when a player does it he’s not showing loyalty and gets blasted in the media. Hope Howard can someday regain that ACC player of the year form.
