Andray Blatche Not Worried About Sexual Assault Probe

Brooklyn Nets forward Andray Blatche was questioned by police this week, in connection to an alleged sexual assault. Blatche says that he’s confident he will be completely cleared. Per the Star-Ledger: “I’m not worried at all,’ Blatche said. ‘I know, when the truth comes out, then everybody will realize what really happened. In the meantime, I can’t really have too much comments on (it).’ Blatche, who has had a checkered past, was questioned by Philadelphia police Tuesday in connection with 21-year-old woman’s claim that she was raped in his hotel suite early that morning. The police, who also brought in two other men for questioning about the incident, reportedly said Blatche had no part in the alleged rape and Blatche was free to play for the Nets that night against the 76ers. He scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the Nets’ 109-89 victory. ‘I’ve got a job to do and I’m going to do my job. I’m not going to let (anything) distract me,’ Blatche said today when asked about keeping his focus on basketball. Blatche said he has spoken to his teammates and members of the Nets organization about the incident and ‘We all know what’s going on. Everybody’s supporting me and got my back 100 percent.’”

Let’s point a few things out about this incident.
    .
#1 – in an interview with the Victim, she was completely focused on Andray Blatche and insisted, repeatedly, that he knew exactly what was happening but that he didn’t actually do anything.
#2 – in an interview with the victim, she insisted she must have been drugged
#3 – in an interview with the victim, she described just about every detail of the incident
    .
    - How in the world she can be more focused on Andray Blatche then the actual people committing the assualt? why repeatedly focus on Andray Blatche’s role in the incident if he didn’t actually do anything? (oh, Andray Blatche was the only Millionaire in the room? you don’t say?)
    - Let’s also try and figure out, how she was drugged, did things she didn’t actually want to do, AND remembers the whole thing…..(i have no sarcastic remark for this, i truly do not understand how that’s possible).

The Shock Exchange has a saying for moments like this: “In the courtroom as at sea, you’re in God’s hands.” Or is that a German saying? Can’t quite remember.

    ASK KOBE FOR ADVICE

Until it’s over, he should worry.

And until it’s over he should let his legal council speak publicly for him, if at all. Nothing positive is going to come out of speaking to the press. In fact, it’s inappropriate for members of the media to even ask him about it, knowing anything he says is going to be taken with a jaundiced view by a judge or jury.

I have been given an answer to #1 – as her lawyer is probably advising her to target Blatche so that her case is taken more seriously. – which should have been obvious. That was ignorant of me to even say.

Great point. He is coming off arrogant.

If he keeps it up, next time you see him he’ll be like O.J. … shaking profusely, trying to prove that glove doesn’t fit.

Whenever you’re in a situation where you express confidence that you will be proven “not a rapist”, well you’ve failed quite a bit.

She might be focusing on Blatche because she came back to the room because of him.

Ahh, another POV I haven’t considered. I shouldn’t have made so many rash assumptions
