Chris Bosh is Keeping His Own Rebounding Stats

Rebounding is one of the few blemishes on the Miami Heat’s play this season, and most of the blame has fallen on Chris Bosh. The big man is now keeping track of his own rebounds so that he can defend himself in the press. Per Fox Sports: “I’m just counting them so everybody will get off my back,’ said Bosh, who had nobody on his case after he grabbed nine in Sunday’s 99-71 rout of the Washington Wizards at AmericanAirlines Arena. ‘That’s really it. That’s why I’m counting them. I’m like, ‘Hey, it was nine today.’ Just a start. And I got to get nine the next game, maybe even 10.’ If the 6-foot-11 Bosh grabbed 10, he would be living up to last season’s prediction, when he spoke of averaging that many a night. He didn’t come close, finishing at 7.9. This season he’s been even worse. He’s averaging 7.6, on pace to be the lowest since he pulled down 7.4 a game as a Toronto rookie in 2003-04. [...] ‘The only way we can do a better job on the boards is if each guy challenges himself a little more,’ said Bosh. ‘So I looked at it. I got to challenge myself a lot more than I have been. And I’ll make a better effort on the boards. And it was a pretty decent night.’ [...] ‘Life isn’t fair,’ Bosh said when asked if all the criticism he gets regarding rebounding is fair. ‘I’m over that. I don’t really read it. But if we win the rebounding battle, then give me credit. Even if I don’t deserve it, give it to me.’”

imagine coming into free agancy and a gm tells you: well u only averged 6 rebounds last year. answer: actually it was 7.1, i have all the game totals written down on this napkin right here

I don’t see the Heat winning the chip again this season as long as they keep playing ”small ball”. MIA destroys weaker teams but when matched up against teams like the Bulls,Mem,spurs etc they have to work for EVERY basket…coach spo better talk Zo out of retirement or something.

lmao, a GM that trusts an NBA players math isn’t worth his salt.

It’s the regular season. They dismantled the Bulls in the playoffs 2 years ago, and lebron is on a different level. And you really think the Grizz could match up Z bo on Lebron in the playoffs? They don’t have to worry about the Grizzlies anyways, it’s gonna be OKC/Mia again

Yes lebron is a real life cheat code but Dwade is getting old,UD isn’t the same and mario can be mind numbingly bad at times. Lastly Who in their right mind would put ZBo on lebron. I would’nt even do that in 2k

Isn’t he the weakest link in the team? I noticed everyone stop playing hard in the last few minutes when Bosh keeps on missing the basket or loose the ball. trade him for Gasol.

miami need centers like ben wallace who cares nothing but defense, defense and only defense. otherwise, this year will be tough for them to repeat.
