Daequan Cook To Sign With Bulls


The Bulls have claimed Daequan Cook off waivers and will sign him for the rest of the season. Cook was waived by Houston on New Year’s Eve after being acquired in the Rockets’ trade for James Harden. The Bulls will be Cook’s fourth team in his six years in the L. Per ESPN:

    I assume Rip will be traded, which is not bad minus the injuries he’s a pretty good pick up for a playoff contender. We can get Lebron for him.

    On a serious note, Jimmy Butler is the real deal out there.

    too bad because last year when everyone was healthy, before Rose went down they were playing GREAT ball together. The group has real potential with Rip as the two but Reinsdorf would rather pay a little less tax then give them a chance.

    I don’t think he’s the solution at the 2, he’s getting old and injured a lot. Marco would more so be a solution. We actually don’t even need a 2, we have a shot creating 3-4 coming soon in Mirotic.

    Mirotic is not coming soon…what in like 3 years? Why think about that when we have a core that can contend now. For the next 3 years we need a 2. Marco is not bad by any means but he could without a doubt be improved upon. As long as Rip stays healthy he can be that guy. But who knows if that is possible so I’m fine with whatver move they decide to make. If he does go, it will be nice to see Jimmy get a little increase in mins

    He won’t stay healthy.

    But Mirotic is coming, he’s said so himself but the question is when not if. He’s eligible for a buyout next year I believe if not the year after. He will come however.

    If they don’t trade him I believe he can stay healthy and be the answer….but cmon man don’t be already looking to Mirotic who isn’t coming for 1-3 years (I doubt he comes until 3 but i’ll humor you)!!!…..we have a solid contender of a team if Rose can come back strong. Worry about the Now!

    I by no means think we should be hanging our hats on Mirotic but he definitely is star potential. I feel Jimmy is too but he isn’t as likely as Mirotic to break through.

    But it’s definite that Rip won’t stay healthy. You can’t even try to argue his durability at his age. It’s just not there.

    I think the bulls will make a go at JJ Reddick. From what I understand he’s going to be on the market around the deadline. He’s not really part of Orlando’s rebuilding plan.

    Nor in the Bull’s plans. He’s a small guard, doesn’t fit alongside Rose unless he’s playing back up PG which I doubt.

    are you kidding me? do you watch any bulls games? marco plays pretty good defense, he pressures up very tight on his defense, and marco is a better defender than hamilton.

    Yes, he’s too small for Thibs’ ferocious want at D. At the 2 spot there’s plenty guys who can out muscle him. Redick at the 2 is idiotic, you can find someone way better at the 2.
