John Paxson: Don’t Expect Bulls To Make Deadline Moves

Bulls VP John Paxson doesn’t think Chicago has enough wiggle room on their roster to make any major moves and will probably stand pat at the trade deadline, just like they have for the past two seasons. From on ESPN Chicago 1000: “’We’re up against what’s called a hard cap,’ Paxson said Friday on ‘The Waddle & Silvy Show’ on ESPN Chicago 1000. ‘In order for us to do something we’re not in a position to take on any real salary so we’re kind of limited in what we can do. I think our team has grown — it’s not always pretty, let’s face it; we’ve had some ugly games this year and that’s kind of who we are right now. But we do grind it out and play hard. ‘You’re always on the lookout to do certain things, but I think our move hopefully will be bringing Derrick back into the fold.’”

Heard we’re considering Mozgov which makes no sense since he’d barely see the court.

that’s why he is available, don’t worry though he is very good at getting dunked on by blake griffin

That’s cold man. Lol, he was decent on the Knicks.

the real question is, will Thibs cut down on Luol Deng’s mammoth minutes now that Jimmy Butler has proven himself?

That’s what everyone is wondering, I agree.

Idk if Jimmy moves to the 2 & splits minutes with Deng. But knowing Thibs, he’ll make Jimmy the defensive anchor for the 2nd unit.

No need to make any moves right now. This team with the way they defend only needs Derrick Rose to return at 80% in order for them to be a problem. If he comes back any near or better than that, they’ll be in the Conference Finals. They only have the Heat to worry about in the playoffs. No other team can score enough against them in a series. Butler’s confidence must be sky high with how he’s been playing.

he’s actually a serviceable big for the Nuggets. It’s just Javale and Kosta are producing more.
