LeBron James Says the Brooklyn Nets Quit on Avery Johnson

Head coach Avery Johnson lost his team and was fired in late December. They are now playing much better under interim bench boss PJ Carlesimo. LeBron James and the Miami Heat are in BK for tonight’s tilt, and James says it’s too bad the Nets quit on their ex-coach. Per the NY Daily News: “They are not doing anything different. They are playing with more passion, more together, they are playing like they want to play for their coach,’ James said. ‘It sucks that Avery had to take the hit of them not wanting to play at a high level, but that’s what it looks like to me. They haven’t changed their offense, they haven’t changed their defense. They’ve picked it up in intensity level and you can tell they like to play for PJ.’”

LeBron said they quit indirectly. He never said it directly. C’mon SLAM, ya’ll shouldn’t have “catfished” the Shock Exchange like that son … ya’ll had him going. I have a feeling there’s going to be some bad blood between these two teams.

    I repeat: Shots fired.

Even tho LeBron didn’t say it exactly, I would agree with the idea/theory that the nets quit on Avery. Unfair

he insinuated they quit on the coach. he didn’t say it.
    .
but they did, they quit on Johnson. — which seems to be more on Deron Williams then anyone else. Despite his Dwight Howard like honesty with the media.

Direct or indirect, all he did was verbalize everybody’s thoughts.

Deron Williams quit on Avery Johnson. That won’t come out of LeBron’s mouth publicly since they’re Olympic teammates. But that’s what happened.

You know he’s been watching the Nets game film, you know this is probably very true, I’m glad he said it

Wow Lebron… I never thought I would hear Lebron speak in such a manner. Now only if somebody from the nets bring up how Lebron quit in the finals against the mavs and in the semifinals against the Celtics. That game 5 quit-fest from Lebron should never be forgotten. But he is right, the Nets did quit

Brooklyn quit on AJ like Lebron quit on Cleveland. ‘Nuff said…

If anybody would know about quitting it’s definitely LeBron!
