Omri Casspi Reportedly Asked the Cleveland Cavaliers for a Trade

Having grown frustrated with his role and lack of playing time in Cleveland, Omri Casspi has asked the Cavs to ship him out of town. Reports Yahoo! Sports: “Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant has been making calls on possible deals for Casspi, but nothing has materialized. The request for a trade was made through Casspi’s representatives with Creative Arts Agency (CAA), sources said. After starting 93 games in his first three seasons in the NBA, Casspi has played one minute for the Cavaliers since a Dec. 11 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Casspi, 24, has averaged 8.4 points in his four-year NBA career. Cleveland traded J.J. Hickson to the Sacramento Kings for Casspi and a protected first-round draft pick prior to the 2011 lockout.”

If you can’t get minutes on the Cavs…behind Alonzo Gee and Luke F*cking Walton, you don’t belong in the NBA.

I do have a funny memory about Casspi: my friend and I were at a Kings game back when Omri was a rookie. We both saw this VERY Muslim guy with a turban, 2 foot beard, and robe in the arena. My friend instantly said to me: “wouldn’t it be great if he was wearing a Casspi jersey?”

Does Casspi suck? yes, absolutely. Do some of you people sound like antisemitic assholes with all this Zion/Zionist stuff? yep. And I hate playing the antisemitism card, but I don’t care much for people like you who can’t keep your stupid biases to yourselves. peace.
