Knicks Sign Kenyon Martin to a 10-Day Contract


In case you were wondering what that Ronnie Brewer trade was all about, this explains it: the Knicks were clearing a roster spot to sign Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract. Chances are, if he plays well or is a positive locker room influence, the power forward will stay with New York for the remainder of the season. Via @SpearsNBAYahoo:

    Knicks should have pulled the trigger on this Ronnie Brewer deal weeks ago maybe try to get Birdman before he was scooped up by the champs. K-Mart is a great consolation prize tho. Let’s see how it works out and if he’ll stick around.

    LOL Marcus Camby, K-Mart, Melo, JR Smith, … who will come more? Nene & Anthony Carter?… K-Mart will be good fit for NY. Overall 10/10 move to sign him.

    WTF man, my team needs all the big man help they can get. I can’t take watching anymore of Spencer Hawes. Lavoy’s nonchalant attitude can kick rocks too. K-Mart would have provided some toughness to the softest frontcourt rotation in the L.
