Nets Reportedly Looking to Trade Andray Blatche For a Draft Pick

Andray Blatche has played well thus far this season for the Nets—averaging 10.7 points and 5.6 boards per game—but that won’t prevent his name from being thrown around during trade talks over the next few weeks, as FoxSportsOhio reports Brooklyn is looking to deal the big man in exchange for a Draft pick: “Brooklyn has placed forward Andray Blatche on the market, according to multiple sources. The Nets are looking for a draft pick in return. Portland, looking for ways to shore up its bench, might have an interest.”

Brooklyn would be stupid to do this.

why in the world would they do this… if anyone should be traded its MaRshon and they need to look at the jazz big men

this news doesnt make any sense, unless the nets arent making sense…which could be the case

  • Irishway’s

Nah! No one will have him.. he’s a thug

  • Max

Dumb, he’s been very solid all year long and is quite important to their offense.

  • Redd

Thug? What has done to be a “thug”? Not show up for the Wizards or by being Black?

he had his shoes pooped in.
    .
not much more thuggish then that

  • Comment_System

wow, this is pretty dumb. He has been great when Brook was out and is a serviceable Big man when brook was back in the lineup.

  • Irishway’s

Damn your a hotty… yeah his a thug him individually. From what seen on the assosiation and his strip club brawls, Dude a thug if your offended was not intended….gorgeous

  • spit hot fiyah

there might be some behind the scenes stuff going on. doesn’t make much sense to trade away one of the most productive bigs coming of the bench, making the minimum, for a draft pick

Trading blatche would be like trading LeBron! (In Reggie Evans’ mind)

the nets are always making questionable moves.. nothing new

    i wouldn’t be too surprised

speaking as a wizards fan who watched dray for 5 yrs…this might be very shrewd move. anyone who saw him on the wizards knows that he only tries hard to get a longer term contract. the millisecond he gets one, he will go back to sitting on his backside and eating chipotle burritos until he gets cuts again by another team. if history is any indicator, giving him a substantial deal is a bad investment, and it’s better to try to get value for him while he’s a good commodity.

i would. Billy King is smart. Porkhorov is not shy about money. Blatche has been their 2nd best player (per minute).
    .
    this seems totally false.

    No…jus no, Stop

  • roscoe

i wonder if blatche’s support of Avery Johnson has anything to do with this…

not drinking the company cool-aid could do anyone in or out in this case.

  • Redd

    You’re a complete loser dude..wow.

  • Redd

    silly hibachi.

  • Irishway’s

That’s actually a really smart move to get a cheap serviceable rookie (hopefully). What do you think the lowest pick they could get would be?
