Post Up: Nine Straight

The Heat dominate the Bulls for their ninth win in a row.

Heat 86 (38-14), Bulls 67 (31-23)

Miami is playing on another level and won their ninth straight game in a drubbing of the Bulls. LeBron was lights out from the field again, shooting 11-15 for 26 points to go along with 12 boards and 7 dimes. As good as Miami was offensively, they were even better on defense. The Heat held the Bulls to a season-low 67 points, allowed Chicago to shoot just 37.3 percent from the field and forced 26 turnovers. After a 13-0 run in the second quarter, this one was already over as the Heat overwhelmed the Bulls on their home floor. DWade finished with 17 points, 8 board and 5 assists and Ray Allen scored 11 off the bench. Nate Robinson led the bulls with 14 points.

 

Spurs 116 (44-12), Clippers 90 (39-18)

It’s a shame that Tony Parker is never going to win a regular season MVP award because he has been tremendous this season. Parker was unstoppable last night during San Antonio’s beat down on the Clippers and the Parisian finished with 31 points on 12-16 shooting, 7 dimes and 0 turnovers in 28 minutes of play while outplaying his point guard counterpoint, Chris Paul. Over the last five games, Parker has been averaging 29 points and 9 assists and will hopefully at least garner some attention for his play with MVP votes. The Spurs led wire-to-wire and were up by as many as 34 and this one was a laugher for much of the way. Danny Green scored 15 points and dropped 7 dimes. Blake Griffin scored 17 points and grabbed 8 boards and Matt Barnes scored 18 off the bench.

    Spurs ran an absolute clinic on the Clippers last night. Dr. James Naismith would be proud of that ball movement. Lob city just doesn’t match up well against them. And once again Tony Parker is in the MVP conversation, but probably won’t win it because of the insane production/level Lebron is playing at right now.

    oh the things coach Pop would do with that Clippers roster. Obviously the Clippers are way more talented and deep but the Spurs are coached soo much better

    Chris Paul is an excellent off ball defender because he often reads his opposition well and knows what they’re likely to do, but when he’s up against studs like Parker or bullies like Deron, his weaknesses are exposed. Might be just me, but I think a PG should be able to drop 30 if his team needs it and you just don’t see CP3 imposing his will on defenses in this way consistently enough.

    I agree with Stepfan Raiford that Spurs ran a clinic not only on ball movement but also moving without the ball. CP3 looked completely lost out there trying to hang with Parker. What a weak showing coming off of an All Star game MVP and Parker definately went up about 10 notches on CP3 last night. Almost perfect execution and I don’t think I’ve seen any team play that well this year. This has to be one of the worst showings coming off of winning an All Star MVP.

    This MVP race reminds me of the year Rose won: Bron has a better year statistically, but a point guard has solid stats and a better team record. Tony winning isn’t out of the question if the Spurs get to 63+ wins.

    i was speaking in terms of IQ. – which we don’t actually know of from either, but we can speculate that Eistein was in a different world of intelligence. – at least you can understand why i speculate that to be true right? because i am not actually trying to be completely right, i’m just tryna make a point.

    I don’t know how anyone can consider the Clipps a legit contender when Vinny Del Negro is their coach and their offense is about as imaginative as a middle school squad.

    agree,but Oklahoma’s offense is just as brutal,maybe even worse,luckily for them they have talents like Durant and Westy ,but man sometimes they have NO IDEA what they are doing out there,just really sad to watch

    Lol – no, I just meant the literal definition of genius when I said it. And have been defending that stance ever since. The quote above is how I feel. Which it would be hard to argue anyone as more of a genius than Einstein there. Either.

    I have an iq over 140, and by no means do I consider myself a genius, and dr suess was definitely a genius, albeit in a different field than einstein. I just test well. To say that having an affinity for one thing and not another is the difference between being a genius or being joe schmo is ridiculous.

    What about weird al yankovic, is he a genius? He was his schools valedictorian, and by all accounts is a very intelligent man. He chooses to devote his energy to artistic endeavors, much the same way dr suess did. To be able to have such universal appeal, such as dr suess, takes true genius. Artistic people are typically quite intelligent, and use their intellect to connect. Einstein killed people when you get right down to it. Smart enough to annihilate mankind

    You have taken an official IQ test? And you “test well”? It’s not something you can study for. I don’t understand how well you testing well really applies to an IQ test? .
    And if you score over 140 that is how you are labeled. So whether you consider yourself so or not is kind of irrelevant.

    Yeah I test well, scored perfect on act when I had been sitting in jail for two weeks leading up to it. Post high schools on the sats since the first time I took them, I think it was fifth grade. And I was always a huge fuckoff, I just had the ability to test well and retain information, quiz bowl champion etcetera. That’s neither here nor there though, im just saying that dr suess is a genius, maybe not by the literal definition. And if I was a genius I would think I would have some clue what im doing with my life by now, the only things that appeal to me are artistic endeavors, or helping mankind. Which, most artistic pursuits do help mankind to some extent, by connecting all the lost units. Anyway, this became another rant, thanks for the reply. I only have wifi, so this is like my only connection to the world

    Nowhere did I confuse the two. Einstein for all his intelligence helped create the atom bomb. That was a real genius move.
